Fayetteville- It's better than you may have imagined
Fayetteville, otherwise known as America's First Military Sanctuary, is committed to showing its support for the military and their families. Fayetteville is home to the Army's Army - the world's only non-profit volunteer organization of citizens and businesses who have pledged their support to those in the military. Fayetteville was recently named as an All-American City for the third time and was selected as the location for the North Carolina Veterans Park, a $15 million, seven-acre park.
Fayetteville is located centrally in North Carolina. Within two hours you can be sitting on the beach on the famous beaches. Within three hours you can be in beautiful Charlotte, NC at the US National White Water Center. The great Smokey mountains are a mere four and half hours. There are a lot of misconceptions about Fayetteville AKA FayetteNAM. Over the last few years the city has poured money into its downtown area resulting in a robust dining and night area for the size of the city. Fayetteville has just about every foreseeable store or restaurant that you can imagine or want. There is the ability to do almost every sport that you can think of in the general area or within a few hours' drive. There is a large competitive running, sky diving and road bike scene within the city and the surrounding area if that is your interest. The post itself has more activities and programs than most would venture to have. For those interested in buying a home, the housing appreciation rates have been constantly on the rise over the last ten years despite the national housing market crash.
